A good, entertaining story that makes for a really intriguing universe. A world where vampires exist with humans. Though this storyline has been executed before, True Blood, for example, this is a much more light-hearted approach while still allowing tackling such subjects as marginalization, anxiety, etc. The drinking of sheep's blood shows a moral and/or legal decision made on the part of the protagonist, which I think would be interesting to explore further. All in all, you did a good job here. Nice work.

Perhaps I will expand the story one day, beyond the 1000-word limit imposed by the Writing Battle rules. Then I can lean into the worldbuilding and character relationship even more.
Congrats on the honorable mention! This was a fun read. I got a sense of the vampire’s isolation in the modern world thru the apartment setting, which is a nice take on the genre. Loved the sunscreen comment 😂
